Tuesday, June 23 – WMDA welcome reception at Observatoire de la Capitale

The participants will be invited to the first networking cocktail party, which will be held at the Observatoire de la Capitale, where they will be able to enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view of the city, from the highest point in Québec City. The purpose of this event is to showcase Québec City and sample local specialties in a casual setting.

In Québec City, June 23 is traditionally the day of the festivities around the Fête nationale du Québec. Guests will then be able to continue the evening and fully enjoy the festive atmosphere of Old Québec and the Plains of Abraham!

Wednesday, June 24 – Networking reception at Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations

First Nations play an important role in Québec and Canada’s heritage. They are underrepresented in the Canadian and international registries due to their unique genetic profile.

An event on this topic is offered to the participants of the working groups at the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations, which teaches the history, culture and art of the Wendat people and other First Nation communities. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique cultural experience in an enchanting setting, along with a cocktail and a tour of the Huron-Wendat Museum.

Thursday, June 25 – IDRC Welcome Reception at Le Parlementaire

All conference participants will be invited to the opening ceremony to be held at Le Parlementaire restaurant, a magnificent dining room with a Beaux-Arts decor located in the Parliament building, in close proximity to the conference venue. Canapés and wine will be served in an atmosphere conducive to good networking among participants. A tour of the premises will also be offered.

Le Parlementaire, which speaks of parliamentary social life, hosts many state dinners, official and receptions. Le Parlementaire stands out among the region’s restaurants.

Friday, June 26 – Gala Diner at la Chapelle du Musée de l’Amérique francophone

With its grand architecture, the Chapelle du Musée de l’Amérique francophone emerged as the perfect place to hold the gala dinner. Secularized since 1992, it stands out through its unique character and magical atmosphere. Today it is part of the Musée de l’Amérique francophone and reflects the rich religious heritage of the Séminaire de Québec.

Guests will enjoy a gourmet diner inspired by Québec’s cuisine and will be entertained by the music of a special guest.
